Ride The Rocket!

Toronto has been my home since I arrived here in 2009. I've loved almost every second of it, but at the same time I've always wondered how the fuck you make an album about it. Drake sort of does, and he'd quite successful, so I'm following his lead. This album is 100% just like Drake.

This album is, to some degree, a story about my (as of 2018) nine years living in Toronto -- some painful memories, some wonderful ones, one of these songs is actually about a cat but you'd probably be surprised which. It's about my friends and lovers and everything I love and hate about my adopted home.

It's an esoteric, messy album because I'm an esoteric, messy person. I hope something speaks to you on it, at least. The samples range from classic jazz to modern bubblegum pop to 20th century classical to modern indie stars. I play a lot on it, and a lot of it is loops and samples. In short: believe it or not, this was always the electronic album I wanted to make.

I hope you like it, or at least if you hate it it made you think about why it was so ungodly awful. I written some of my best music out of spite, so if you really hated this I hope you go out and make some great art, just to stick it to me.

I'm Nico Fantasy, and I'm a queer weirdo who makes weirdo electronic music. I hope you enjoy.
